I have eaten here several times. It's a good spot! The staff are always attentive, the food is fresh, and the pastries are to die for! I really enjoy the variety of sandwiches for lunch. This is a laid back cafe at lunch, and they have a full bar with many wines and several beers on tap. For dinner, the menu is a bit more formal, however they still have some burgers, French onion soup (outstanding!), and my personal favorite, the Beef bourguignon. I do not know how they make it, but this dish is outstanding. Save room for fresh pastries for dessert. They are incredible and plentiful! Lunch more of a cafe, dinner more formal, but a great spot for either!

Close to St. Patrick's Day and I couldn't eat Corned Beef and Cabbage because I'm on a diet. I thought the next best thing was we just paid homage to my patron saint of Corned Beef lovin' Asian wannabe Irish, and dined at Patrick's Restaurant and Bakery. No corned beef here. Everything was more French with bakery cases filled with tons of French pastries... Eclairs, crème brûlée, macarons, meringue cookies, etc. I have never tried lunch or dinner here, only breakfast and I love their breakfast! They knew how to make great omelet and it's perfect it made me envious. Granted, when I make omelet at home, the stuffing were much more than the eggs. They would all protruded out and tore the eggs like hemorrhoids trying to break free. Anyway, their omelet is awesome and pretty. Even yesterday, I had asked them to make me an omelet with one full egg and 2 egg whites and they made it so crispy dang it's good and it's just egg white mostly. Dita seemed to enjoy her egg Bennie with scrambled eggs too. It was a fun birthday brunch for Dita. Too bad we couldn't sample the sweets. The service was incredible. They checked and checked and your drinks were never empty. The managers stopped by and check on you as well. At check out, the bill fold had a short survey you could fill out about the service as well. They really tried to wow you with excellence it seems like. No green beer and no corned beef. However, I felt that we had shamrock coming out of our ass eating here as we sure had the luck of the Irish getting this great food and service.

I have pretty much LIVED at the Patrick's at Bachman's, as well as the one in Edina, so when I heard a new one had opened in Maple Grove, I rushed on up to give it a try! The atmosphere was tres chic, the food was as delicious as ever, but the service was just ... so sad. I tried to attribute that to the fact that they are new and probably still getting their bearings. Hopefully the manager loosens up soon!

I have never been to the Richfield location, but heard that it was great. I was excited to see a new food establishment take over the old CPK location in Maple Grove. I had a need for breakfast and decided to hit up this place to find out what it was all about! It was Saturday morning and at 9am was quiet, which was fine for me (means quick seating!). First impressions were good, you see the entire bakery case filled with goodies right when you walk in, with seating all around. Lots of coffee, French inspired baked goods and sugar filled sweets. The breakfast menu is simply (half sheet, front/back). We quickly ordered a spinach quiche and almond croissant...along with coffee. We demolished the croissant in 30 seconds...literally. Crispy on the outside, with gooey chewy inside...oh, did I mention it's covered in powdered sugar?! The quiche was solid, served with buttery hash browns! Flaky crust, great flavor and fresh ingredients...nothing terrible about it. The last thing we ordered was Patrick's Omelet Croissant, with spinach, mushrooms and cheddar (with a side of bacon of course!). Like everything else, on point, fluffy croissant, perfectly cooked omelet (and crispy bacon). All in all, great breakfast, good service and priced well ($21 for 2 friends). So digging into the sugary treats and something during lunch/dinner time (appears they have a HH as well).

Who knew Guinness and Pastries would go so well together. They also have an eggy pizza with ham. I had no clue what I was ordering so again, I asked for their best plate. Didnt disapoint. Go in with no expectations and if your super adventurous, go on Wednesday nights, Clown on staff.

Very nice place to hang out with a friend. The server is friendly. Food tastes good accept the onion soup was too salty today, But the good part is that it's still cheesy!

My wife and I ate here on Saturday at 11am. Ordered two flat breads, and a quiche Loraine to share. Way to much food for the 2of us by the way. Our waitress was Carrie, and she was wonderful. Visited our table several times. The food was spectacular if a bit fancy for some people. We didn't get a chance to try the desserts wich look worthy of a tv food show. We are coming back tomorrow to try their brunch.

The initial waiting to be seated was awkward. Once sat the server immediately came to ask for out drink order... Didn't even have time to look at the menu yet, so I just asked for water. Two minutes later was asked again by the same server what I would like to drink, in which my reply was the same. Two waters! One glass came out with old lipstick stains. I asked for a new one which was slammed down on my table. I had several questions about the menu since this is my first time coming here. I got short answers back with a lot of attitude with the replies. I was very turned off at that point. I wanted to leave even though I had already placed our food order. I asked my server for her manager and spoke to him. He was very nice. Comped all my food. The food that I order I asked for it to be boxed up! I payed for extra pastries and left! I was happy that my food was comped but that's not what the point was. Don't think I'll be going there again! I miss California pizza kitchen!!!

They accidentally cancelled my Opentable reservation, which meant I couldn't make a review on there. I didn't have to wait for my table, but the server didn't take my drink order until after Happy Hour had ended. When my friends arrived, we placed our orders, and the food was delicious (fish!) , but the server disappeared; we didn't get more water, I didn't get more soda, and we had to flag her down for more alcohol. The "tarte" was okay; not what I was expecting from the name; wouldn't order it again. My friends really enjoyed their fancy desserts from the case. Overall, not worth the effort to get service, especially with so many, many, many other options out there.

Ate at Patricks for the first time a few weeks ago and really like it. The service was great and the turkey sandwich was delicious, not to mention the fabulous selection of baked goods. We shared chocolate mouse dessert and a cookie and it was fresh and yummy. I will for sure be going back to try one of their salads.

Started out the morning with a couple of Bloody Mary's that were excellent. Then order breakfast that was great. Ordered a fruit tart for desert that was spot on. Great coffee. Way to go! Also wanted to give our server Susan a shout out for great service, felt like we were her only customers even though they were pretty busy. Great experience definitely coming back.

This is an amazing french restaurant in the midst of suburbia. It has excellent authentic choices, speaking from someone who lives in France. The quiche is the best, highly recommended. I would recommend it for a date spot as well. We have sat at the bar a few times and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

Went for brunch with my mom and pop on Sunday morning. Food was ok, but the service was totally off. Our server must have been new...we had to ask (repeatedly) for items. Water (he brought 2 but not 3), my coffee after he only brought my dad's, creamer to go with the coffee, a 3rd set of silverware as there were only 2, butter for french toast which was near cold by the time it was brought out, ketchup, my meal came out with bacon instead of the sausage I ordered. It was exhausting. I feel like we were always looking for him to wave him down to remind or ask him to bring us some missing piece of our meal. Ruined the whole experience. If I hadn't had disappointing service at the Edina location awhile ago, I would say it was an anomaly, but now it's happened twice at two different locations. Whole fam agreed we would never go back. On the bright side, they do take call ahead reservations for Sunday brunch so there is it does have that going for it.

Went here on 7/30/2015, the food is French and it was ok. The service is somewhat ok, it could be improve. We went at almost the end of happy hour. My father ask if there was happy hour still, the hostess said yes but the waitress said no, at the end they work on a compromise to give us one dishes for happy hour. The waitress was extremely fast, I feel like I am in fast food restaurant. I hope your experience will feel better. We end up spending $70 so we hope for better service. As far as food goes, we order the vegetable flatbread which was good, not to soggy bread, had a good crunchy crust. Then we have the pasta with scallop, that was good, scallop and seafood was really good according to my parent. We also order bbq pork combo, fries were really great, sandwich were so so. I order the creme brûlée, it was too sweet. I recommend checking out their desert section and flatbread. Overall, food was ok but the service need improvement.

Me: Do those meringues contain tree nuts? Guy behind the counter: No. Me: What are they made of? Guy: Almond flour.... (lists off ingredients) Me: Almond is a tree nut... Had lunch here with two friends I haven't seen in a long time visiting from out of town and brought my daughter along. Had a burger and it was good-- flavorful and filling. Daughter enjoyed her mac and cheese (gooey and cheesey-- I wanted to eat the entire thing myself). Service was decent, but I wasn't very impressed with the guy behind the pastry counter. Food service workers should know a little something about food allergens.

Was excited to try this place out. A friend had mentioned it was opening up in Maple Grove and I should try it. My husband and I met a couple of friends for lunch. Place was packed we waited about 15-20 minutes for a table. I ended up getting quiche with a side salad which was good and we ordered a bunch of desserts to try. For the most part it was good. Was disappointed in the macaroons though, they were hard and not the texture they should have been. I do want to come back and try the dinner menu

First time trying this place and very pleasantly surprised. We came in for lunch and got happy hour apps. The service was very nice and food presentation was very nice. I was especially impressed by the dessert display. If I had the stomach and money for it I would have eaten one of each item in the display. Definitely a place I want to go back and try again.

Finally got a chance to stop in here Sunday afternoon to try some baked items. First impression was a little strange. I advised the server we're just in to try baked items and not hungry (just had Punch a bit ago). We still get a full menu and then another drink menu. Seemed odd. But sure. Get seated, and within a few minutes the server stops by to tell us he'll be right with us, he's finishing up another table. Cool. We settle on a cafe latte, tiramisu and their raspberry cheesecake. The latte was pretty good. Nice foamy milk on top but the actual coffee amount maybe was a quarter of the cup? I get you need room for the foam on top, but, to get less than half actual coffee? Not a fan of the coffee to foam ratio there. Some good... the cheesecake. I love cheesecake. All forms and all kinds. This cheesecake, I'd give about a 5/10. So here's the dissection of the cake, it's a mousse cheesecake, so if you want a firm, dense, NY style, this isn't going to be for you. The best part is the core having raspberry preserve. Very very tasty tarty mess right in the middle. However, the crust was next to tasteless. Extremely disappointed in that. A solid, tasty crust is what makes the cheesecake to me. The mousse cake was pretty good. Light, had a decent creamy taste to compliment the tart of the raspberry. Overall though, nothing special and I've definitely had far better cheese cakes. The meh to bad, the tiramisu. Extremely tasteless. I'll admit I'm jaded when it comes to tiramisu because my grandma, being an off the boat Italian immigrant, makes the best god damn tiramisu this world may ever see. However, the main components of a good tiramisu are that you need the coffee flavor to peak through from the Savoiardi, a hint of cocoa and some creaminess from your cheese. This, was chocolate cake. At least, a dull chocolate cake. So very disappointed in this. I was at least hoping to taste something that would make me think of the homemade tiramisu I've grown up with, but, not a hint at all. A dull, lifeless, meh slab of chocolate cake with a bitter taste thanks to them trying to add a coffee flavor somewhere. Total miss. I at least can say I've tried it and wish this new local place well, without my patronage.

My boyfriend and I ate there yesterday for my birthday and it was incredibly delicious. I ordered a bloody Mary, which was the best one I've ever had. For my meal I ordered scallop and shrimp. It came with sweet potatoes and a creamy mushroom sauce on the bottom. It was such a great mesh of flavors! I love love love their seafood; in my opinion it was better then Benihana. The prices were less then I had expected for being a more upscale restaurant. Will be going again very soon!

Nice little restaurant for brunch. Walked in on a Sunday morning with no wait. Enjoyed a fresh strawberry croissant that was beautiful & delicious. We also enjoyed the spinach quiche & Patrick's omelet croissant. The food & service were solid. The pastry display looked so amazing we took some pastries home with us!

I was excited to try as I have heard great things about the Richfield location. We were shopping at Arbor Lakes, so we thought we should check it out. It was weird because they seem to have a mixed identity going on? It has a wine bar feel until the crying children started. Ugh... The wine list was nice, but priced a little high considering the screaming kids... Just hard to enjoy. I had the brisket salad, and WOW it was amazing! My girlfriends had the MG chopped salad and California Burger. Both said their meals were outstanding. Now the desserts were sick and wrong delicious! They are displayed across the restaurant. Save room for a naughty little treat! I would go back for a wine lunch and coffee.

With all I have read about this place I was hoping for a more authentic french experience. Unfortunately after trying this place three times I am not impressed. My dine in experience for lunch consisted of quiche, salad and a cocktail. It wasn't horrible or good either. Takeout, I tried their apple turnover which was horrible. It barely contained any apples enclosed in a tough crust laced with burnt almonds.

Patrick's restaurant is a delicious place! (Sorry I don't know how to start a review...) But it is a place with literally every American food mixed with others. Their breakfast is amazing! Eggs-delicious, Bacon-a bit undercooked but still great, toast-is AMAZING. I'm sure all of their other foods are great. Their pie was good, and they have a ton of desserts! Our server was THE nicest person I've ever met!!! I think her name was Laura... Just to recap... Laura=Nicest person in world. Sooo, if you are hungry and are in the area... EAT HERE.

So the lover and I tried out this new restaurant called 'Patrick's Restaurant & Bakery.' The atmosphere was nice, it had a bar that was connected to a cafe feel area. We sat in a booth, which seem to have more of a restaurant feel to it. I think the flow of the atmosphere is a bit conflicting but it was nice seeing that the pastries is the main focal point of the entire restaurant. For my fellow Minnesotans who dined at California Pizza Kitchen before it turned into Patrick's, you'll notice it'll still resemble CPK quite a bit. We both ordered coffee for lunch! Hahaha, I got a cappuccino and he got a latte. Both were excellent, although my taste buds really preferred the latte. Our server's name is Mary, she was great. Very attentive and made sure our experience there was going well. We did inform her that it was our first time, so naturally our first experience should go very well. I do think the service would be different if we went during busier time. We went for a late lunch at around 2-3pm that day. I'll have to return at a busier time to judge for service. I got a steak sandwich and lover boy got a french sandwich. I'm quite surprised how AMAZING everything tasted. The food dishes were very simple, so simple it makes you think, "I can totally make this at home!" The flavors were great, even the french fries were good! I really enjoyed the food, and I believe my date enjoyed it as well! My overall experience here was fantastic, of course I couldn't grade my service, considering it wasn't busy enough for me to give an accurate number. I do recommend this place for anyone that wants to try some place new, I really don't think you can go wrong with anything that you decide to order! We didn't get a chance to order any dessert, since we were both stuffed from our entrees! :) I hope this review helps you venture out to this restaurant.

Went for breakfast because on a Sunday because we had heard great reviews from family. Horribly disappointed! The restaurant was less than ¼ full yet it took a long time to get our food. I ordered the eggs Florentine and the yolk was way overcooked to the point of being chalky. The hash browns that came with were soggy and not crispy/crunchy/browned in the slightest. Had I not needed to leave for work I would've returned the plate and tried something else. I might go back to give the pastries a try but I won't be ordering any meals.

Let's see... Awkwardly uncomfortable wait to get sat. Then waited 10 min for a server to acknowledge me. Gave her my whole order -- literally dropped off my coffee and ran. (Sheesh! Didn't even ask if I wanted creamer -- luckily I don't!) Ordered Croque Monsieur .... Was okay. I guess i forgot the Monsieur was the sandwich, I was thinking of the open-faced Madame then. O'wise the sandwich was still okay. Too much puffy "breadiness" for my liking; but at least I had half left to take home for my husband. (He's like Mikey, and will eat anything.) I was hoping that this would be closer in service standards to the Edina location; but I guess that's just not the case. Cutesy-cheesy French music playing overhead, trying for that Parisian bistro feel. They do have the cute Parisian chairs set up in the front area w small round tables -- that was cute. Plus a bar area and of course the pastry section -- which I'll be bypassing today. (I'm gonna just assume that they are as delicious as the Edina location tho. ) When I need lunch in the Maple Grove area again I'll choose elsewhere tho.

First visit here. Ordering the steak frites. The table side service was a bit confusing because we didn't know what we could order at the table and what we needed to order at the bar. The server was a bit confused as well... Steak frites were good. Crab cakes were sad. So much filler, not enough crab. We found hair in 2 different dishes. The scallop appetizer and the egg and cheese quiche. Salad was finished with sea salt... made it barely edible. Very salty. Chicken "rolled out" a bit rare, still with pink juices running. Server said that's how it's supposed to be. No thanks! No salmonella for us tonight. We ordered the French onion soup... it was thick like gravy and didn't have toast. Correct me if I'm wrong but it should be a thin broth with croutons or something. Creme brule... don't get me started gurl! It didn't even have a sugar crust. They should call it flan. You're a french bakery! Fail! Final word. I wouldn't come back for dinner. At their price point they shouldn't be auctioning food at the table. Southdale location was much better.

As soon as I walked in I thought , this is what a cafe should look like. My friend and I sat right in the front. We both got salads. I forget the name of mine, it had corn and avacado in it, and plenty of green goddess dressing. I picked up some cherry danish and a strawberry cheese one. I heated up the croissant for lunch. There's a pastry for tonight. It might be best to stay away from the counters. Service was great and waters were filled often. There's a lot of room in here, but the front is really attractive and quieter. I love the close proximity to the theater for a meal before or after.

My family and I went there for breakfast this morning. The service was horrible. Everyone that works there runs around like they have no idea what they are doing and are in a state of panic. I ordered a croissant to start with and the waitress didn't come back to our table until our food was ready. So she brought it all out at once. I had French toast along with my 3 year old daughter and it was burnt to a crisp. Also the portions are tiny. The only thing that was good was the late croissant that I wanted to enjoy when we first got seated. This place needs an over haul of new staff and management. Very displeased to say the least!!!

I'm very excited that Patrick's has made it to Maple Grove. I've been to the bakery/cafe in Edina multiple times, and I always love it. This location is where the old California Pizza Kitchen was in the Arbor Lakes shopping center. The service was great. Drinks: ordered a beer that they were out of, and ended up with a Kronenbourg 1664 (yum) and a large Cafe Latte. Food: Caesar Salad with Chicken, a Californian Burger, and took home a Feullantine Pralinee Cake. **I came back to update my review just to tell you that this dessert was awesome! I would've given this place more stars, but the salad is really nothing special (still good) - just a big traditional chicken Caesar. The burger was yummy and cooked to perfection, but maybe use less bread so the burger is still the star. The ambiance is really nice, and the bread before our meals was warm and absolutely perfect! Butter is yummy, but I would recommend they serve it whipped so it is spreadable. Price is reasonable - they do have some fancier and pricier menu items like duck and filet mignon and mussels... Etc. Bakery is a win, and that is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3. I'm excited to come back for brunch.

I was really disappointed and really wanted to like this place. The concept is good and the menu items sound good but food sucks! They would get a 10 for presentation but the quality is a zero. My husband had an omelet and was served with brown and serve sausage and precook end bacon. I had the quiche and needed to cook for a few more minutes. The prices are really cheap but I'd rather pay more and get good quality. This place is an epic fail!

Honestly, this place is delicious. Their baked goods looked (and tasted) amazing. The only reason I wouldn't rate this a five is because of the service, or lack thereof. Waitress seemed a bit timid. Maybe this is her first serving job as this restaurant hasn't been open for very long. Either way, hop on that service pony and let's get going, Patrick's. The Patou burgers, in particular the Forestier, are inexpensive and leave your mouth craving more and your stomach feeling full. Their fries kind of taste like McDonalds made them - maybe they're in cohoots. Their macaroons are only $2.00 and they are worth it. My mouth is watering right now. (Caramel macaroon, highly suggested). This location wasn't too busy and maybe it will stay that way. That's okay, leaves more room for me!

We raced to make it before 11am so we could have breakfast. We were seated at 10:45 and the waitress did not come to wait on us until 10:55. She said it was now 11 and we couldn't have breakfast. We could of probably hailed a manager but instead opted for pastry and cappuccinos. The waitress really was horrible not just with us but her station. She gave off the attitude she was doing us a big favor waiting on us and that we all needed to shut up yet she kept shouting to people on the sidewalk to come in the food is good. The only positive I saw from her was her glowing smile and thank you when she brought the bill. I am guessing this is her smile that beckons people forget about the service and tip her on her precious smile. I have been reading reviews to see if I will give it a second chance, I really did want to try their breakfast.

A disappoint overall. Food was okay- fantastic presentation but not the most tasteful overall. While we were eating close to the bakery case/ open kitchen we witnessed one of the most appalling, unprofessional screaming by a younger manager (-I assume manager?) at his kitchen staff WOW will never come again and question the stability of management if this happens often. We asked for our bill immediately and left without dessert sadly

Their little dessert cake pastries are absolutely incredible. I'm not sure how much I dig the new policy on being served only, and not being able to get your own items anymore, but I wish they had locations all over the US because I crave those pastries at the most random times. They have a great menu and great prices. I really adore this place.

Bakery looks delicious. But we sat down for dinner. I got the shrimp & scallops, my husband got the filet mignon. My meal came with 4 shrimp & 2 scallops. My husband ordered his filet medium and he got medium rare. Over priced for what we got. But the staff and management is friendly. Manager was more than happy to make wrong, right. We won't come back for a meal, but will definitely check out the bakery.

I think Patrick's Bakery has potential and am rooting for this restaurant to succeed. However, my experience today was not the best dining experience. I took my parents for Father's Day Brunch to the Maple Grove location and made a reservation in advance, but we still waited for a table. Upon walking in the restaurant, it was clear to see that the restaurant was either understaffed or had struggles with how it was being managed or all of the above. There were lines at the door of people waiting to get seated (literally the lines started wrapping around inside the restaurant). No bussers were visible, so the host had to bus each table and then greet guests to seat them table by table. The waitstaff was lean, so we waited quite some time to even get our drink order in. There was no bartender on staff, so the waitstaff had to individually make each drink (ranging from gourmet coffees to mimosas to even ice water). The people standing in line for take away waited over 10 minutes and multiple people just got up and walked out. Again, I hope this restaurant succeeds, but today's experience was chaotic and needed much improvement in staffing, management and service. I'm quite surprised that on Father's Day this restaurant wouldn't adequately staff up. A restaurant can have great food and a great ambiance, but if service is poor, it'll shut down before you know it.

Went here with hubby around 3 PM for a late lunch and it was surprisingly pretty busy for 3 in the afternoon. They have a full service sit down option or order at the front and choose a table by the bakery. I had the asparagus and tomato quiche and hubby had a roast beef sandwich. Both items came with a side salad. I thought the sandwich was super good and the quiche was alright..The highlight of our meal was the passion cake. It was sooo good! We could have ate 3 more of those! I will definitely go back to try some of their other desserts but not so sure about their meals.

My wife and had breakfast here. Good service and food. A nice place to have breakfast on the weekends. This is new restaurant and bakery. The baked items look really good.

Don't bother. We came here after our daughter's first game in her hockey tournament and almost all 5 of us got the same thing. Our youngest ordered the strawberry yogurt and granola from the kids menu, which was good. The rest of us got 2 eggs with hashbrowns, toast, and bacon. We waited at least 10 minutes for our server to show up to greet us and although our food came out fairly quickly, it was cold and tasteless. He took another 7 minutes to bring our toast and didn't get the hot sauce to our table before we were finished eating. He also forgot the water twice. It seems as though they are understaffed and management was nowhere around to help out.

Great place for lunch. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a good meal. It was a pleasant environment, the staff was very polite and friendly, and stopped by often enough to keep our drinks full. It was a very nice environment! We split the roast beef sandwich and salad, and got a Brie tart which was very good. The only bummer is they don't allow dogs on the patio.

Our server was very friendly, but was not able to keep our beverages refreshed. We waited 10 minutes at one point for a refill. The food was tasty enough for a simple breakfast, but did take quite a long time for reheating pastries. If you're looking for something simple and not in a rush this place would be a good fit for you. Time crunchers beware.

My wife and I dined here for NYE and enjoyed our experience very much. We started with a couple beverages; she the Patrick's Fleur-tini and I the Old Fashioned. I can't speak to the taste of the wife's drink, but she loved it. My drink was a mix of maple bourbon, apple brandy, bitters, raw sugar, and orange peel--an interesting twist on a classic and it was superb. We were treated to a complimentary tuna tartar mini app as we contemplated our dinner choices. As we pondered, French table bread was served. It was fantastic--crunchy outside and warm & soft inside. My wife decided on the beef bourguignon and I chose the filet mignon and shrimp for our entrées. I am a man of immense appetite and stomach capacity and didn't feel the amount of food was commensurate with the price tag at $27.95. The presentation and flavor was on point; I just wanted more. There were very few gratin potatoes and even the vegetables were scant, though the steak was mouth-watering goodness. That said, at least I had plenty of room for dessert. My wife enjoyed her meal and had leftovers. We finished off with dessert; the chocolate vanilla creme brulee for the missus and the Sarah for yours truly. The Sarah was a decadent mix of chocolate, pistachio creme brulee, and lord knows what other amazingness. Both were sweet and delicious and worth the trip alone. Our server, Kimberly, was energetic, engaging, and made the night a breeze to enjoy. Her recommendations for dessert were perfect and I am kinda baffled that so many other reviews on here complain about service. Overall, we had a great time and look forward to coming back again and again.
